Set in an old barn filled with artwork, beads and jewellery , with gardens full of sculpture, and paddocks with ducks and donkeys, chickens,worms and bees, - and the whole being powered by wind and solar, Renaissance provides a rich mix of elements to delight and intrigue visitors of all ages and inclinations.

We display work by at least 50 Otago artists, sculptors and craftspeople. There are regularly changing exhibitions held throughout spring and summer, as well as extensive collections of works held in stock. Away from the pressure of main street commercialism, we find that we can afford to take risks with the art we show, and enjoy a wide range of creative expression.

The gallery, with its wide courtyard, gardens and terraced lawns, also lends itself to use as a venue for social occasions- there have been weddings , anniversaries and end-of-year functions held as well as the regular exhibition openings. Children's beading birthdays are particularly popular - we can provide food, or, if you'ld rather, you can bring your own.
